List Building: How To Get The Most ROI

Someone smart once said that 'If you have a list, you will make money'. Well, while those are not the exact words, it pretty much sums up what was meant. A list of quality subscribers is like hungry prospects. All that you need to do is show them the bait and you will make a sale.
The ROI on list based email marketing is $43 for every $1 spent. So, if you spend $100 every month on email marketing, it gives you $4300 in return. Another alarming statistic reveals that every successful internet marketer earns $1 per person from his/her list. So, if you have a list of 20000 people, you earn $20000 per month.
Now, do you see the big picture? The power of a list cannot be undermined.
But, how do you build a list? If you look for tips on a search engine, there is every chance that you might get lost due to the overload of information.
So, here are a few quality List Building Techniques that are easy to understand and implement.
1. Find a niche that excites you. Did you notice that I said, 'Excites' and not 'Interests'? Well, the reason is that while there might be 100 things that interest you, there will hardly be couple that excites you. And if you select a niche from amongst those two, chances are that you will never feel worn out working for it. There are numerous networks like ClickBank and Commission Junction which have a ginormous marketplace loaded with products. Choose one and get started. Ensure that you choose a product that has competition because if its competitive, there's money to be made.
2. Next on the list is a high quality product that you can give away for free in exchange of their email address. There are numerous options. You can buy cheap PLR products, you can hire a content writer to write an ebook for you or else you can write it yourself. I personally don't recommend the last option unless you are an expert at the niche. Remember, this freebie is what will entice the users to sign up with you.
3. Design an attractive squeeze page. A lot of people feel that a squeeze page is just that and does not require too much attention. I feel otherwise. Buy one or hire a designer to design a good one for you.
4. Once your list starts to build up, you will need a steady supply of interesting and attractive email messages. Once again, you have the option of hiring a writer or doing it yourself.
5. Last, but not the least, generate traffic to the squeeze page so that you can start building the list.
That's all folks. Now start implementing those tips in your affiliate marketing plans and notice how soon you start making some dough.
